...integrating the mathematical and scientific with the creative and artistic.
Aureleo Rosano
Aureleo Rosano was born in May of 1939 in New Britain, Connecticut. After having graduated high school… he attended several years of college in various places. However like many from the ‘Beat Generation’, he felt compelled toward real life experiences instead of academic intellectualizing. For several years, Rosano traveled all over the world and from which fulfilled the beatnik essentials such as spontaneity, creativity, and visceral engagement in often gritty worldly experiences. Rosano’s life has since been filled with life taught and self taught achievements.
He finally settled down and made his home in Tucson. Shortly after having moved to Tucson, he began broadening his knowledge within many different industries. He worked as a copper miner, house painter, banquet manager, maitre d’, apartment owner and manager, etc. Since he’s lived in Tucson… he has also worked as an Assembler and Test Engineer Officer at Hughes Aircraft, winning the U.S. Air Force Craftsmanship Award. Also in 1969, Rosano began a pipefitting apprenticeship and completed his apprenticeship in 1973. Rosano started his own business in 1976, Independent Control Company, a pneumatic temperature control contracting company where he served as President and was additionally able to implement his other talents and skills as well. Rosano is a self-taught, dedicated artist and entrepreneur… creating his art for over forty years. He works in metal, stained glass, and Italian mosaic. Rosano seems to be whole brain integrated. He is super creative and yet while in school… he excelled in mathematics. He is particularly fond of geometry and has worked closely with many local engineers in Tucson. He possesses the technical skills combined with an aptitude for creating contemporary fine art that can appear industrial as well as highly attractive and sophisticated. When asked about his current designs… Rosano commented that he has a continuing interest and emphasis on strength and beauty of lines.

ARTIST'S OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate beauty of line and interplay of light with materials of strength and durability.
